The Important People Project
Where would we be without... cleaners?
Portraits were historically always painted of Important People. But who is it that’s important? In the end everybody matters and we all need each other. There are many people who feel they are hardly being noticed or appreciated. This is a proposal to companies who want to show their gratitude to their cleaners* by having their portraits painted.
The result:
- A beautiful gallery of paintings on the walls of the office: real art with a real story.
- A powerful statement of bonding by appreciation and respect, not only for the employees portrayed, but for the whole company and its customers.
- A unique experience for the employees, who are painted in thee or four sessions in the artist’s studio. “I felt like the queen!” said on of the municipal workers about her posing experience. Every employee gets a good quality copy of the painting to take home.
Carpenters, drivers, warehouse workers, secretaries, baggage handlers, volunteers, roadworkers, bakers, dock workers, packers, security guards, nurses, etc. etc. (all male/female).
